Itinerary

Day 1Board a motor boat and sail across the Sacred Titicaca Lake towards south of the Island of the Sun. On this legendary island, visit the Pilkocaina Inca Palace, continue by motor boat toward the next harbor and visit the Inca Gardens, the Staircase and the Inca Fountain. Hike up to Yumani community whose people maintained their traditions and culture along the years. Hike for about 4 hours towards the North of the Island going through well maintained Inca trails all the way until “La Chincana” temple, also known as the Labyrinth. Near around, you will find the Holly Rock, that according to Incan myths the Sun was first seen there after a long period of darkness. Enjoy your box lunch, with a fantastic view of the lake and the mountain range. Walk a short way further to Challapampa, a town where you will visit a small museum displaying archeological pieces found in an expedition in the Titicaca Lake by the French scientist Jacques Cousteau. At 16:00 Sail back to Copacabana.
